I went to this hospital for a stone removal and the doctor scared us of many consequences and made our mind for surgery. Right before surgery, there was a scan and the doctor who scanned said that it is not serious and small stone is in bladder. But main doctor was not relenting and he waants a surgery. All the talks and care is by looking to pocket. Just a small surgery cost you some 50K. I prefered this hospital since I was not able to meet apollo doctor eventhough I do not know how Apollo is w.r.t to a surgery.
After sometime I heard my friend that even attenders expect some ’bribe’ there as I remember they always come by expecting something. But I could not imagine that a corporate hospital staff may ask for some ’attending fee’.Best thing is check with 4 or 5 doctors and decide as most hospitals in chennai stand for looting. Malar is one of them.It is a corporate hospital with some low standards.
