This serial announces the come back of our very own sridevi. It is aired on mon & tue at 9.00 p.m. on sahara manoranjan, by boney kapoor.
Although I have to admit the experience of seeing her on small television wasnt very satisfying. Sridevi plays the south indian bahu in a punjabi family. the characters primarily consist of her in laws, jeth-jethani, younger dewar and silly sister in law whose representing hansa like character of khichdi fame, always upto senseless talks. Malini aka sridevi’s persona lights up the screen with her gorgeous personality clad in typical south-indian sarees and jewellery.
Her husband played by mahesh thakur is his usual self. It might be too early to comment on the serial with only 2 episodes gone, but the serial has its own share of pjs. Sridevi initially looked conscious of acting on the small screen but in the 2nd episode she looked quite at ease and will only get better.
However, despite her prescence, the serial is not very striking or what one would call really interesting. It gets very boring at certain times and you might want to shift to kusum instead. The only key factor in the serial is sridevi but that too fails to attract much audience. Maybe down the line this serial might improve and make it worth watching. I hope this serial doesnt disapoint all sridevi fans and doesnt bite the dust.
