I recently shifted to Sreevaraham area in Trivandrum. This area is having many good, small hotels serving traditional items.I came to know about Mani Mess in IIIrd Puthen street here. I purchased Idli’s Poori etc., . I found that Stuff is really good. It is tasty. More particularly for me, it was not overly spicy.
Spicy items will play havoc with my stomach. But the problem with the hotel is that you can not be sure whether you will get the food in reasonable time. Many of the items will get exhausted by 0730hrs itself! Once I reached this hotel after morning walk by 0630.
I asked for packed food of 4 idlis per packet. He simply told that items will get start readying only by 0645 hrs and I can come after 0700hrs to get the items! The persons runnung the hotel do not seem to care. Another sunday morning I reached there by 0700hrs. I asked for parcels of Idli and Pooris. The person there simply told me that the work for giving parcels to other customers is going on and my order can be taken up after 45 minutes only!
He insults a customer who has come to his hotel and intenet on serving somebody else who is not even present in front of him! I was initially flabbergasted, but soon gave him a piece of my mind! I have vowed not to go to this hotel, but if homely food temptation overtakes, I will ask somebody else to get parcels for me!
