Mani Mall has the swank look of every other mall in India. Go to Forum at Bangalore, malls at Pune and then come in here -lamentably they are all the same. This craze to be unoriginal had killed Hindi movies once and now this mall mania too seems to be going the prim rose way to early closures dueto high inflation.
To put it in a nut shell: I wonder why we have these malls where everything is so costly. Not only the merchandise but also the food’s gonna casue you life style diseases. At least, City Centre has open spaces for folks to walk around, Mani Square has a definite clautrophobic atmosphere. Other than this, there are all the old brands here: the Dollar Store(one feels we are geting US handouts here), designer clothes whose prices must take into account lighting, air conditioning and the elaborate security etc.
Go to Mani Mall in the summer, & may be one saves on the home AC bill.
