You know I was going to post this on my personal blog but decided to also post it on Mouthshut. I’m extremely dissatisfied by the behavior of Dr. Dharini who did ultrasound for my wife’s early pregnancy this week. Though we had heard lots of negative reviews about Manipal’s gynae dept but still went for scan there as this was the nearest big hospital in my area. I stay at Purva, Marathalli junction and thought it to be feasible option considering distance and name.
First of all doctor did not turn up on time. After lots of waiting and confused answers by receptionist finally we were being told that Dr. Dharini will see after 2 more patients. In the meantime they make the patients drink lots of water saying in next 10 mins turn will come which just does not come. After so much of wait when you meet the doctor the least you expect is a pleasant behavior.
Forget about being pleasant, I think she is one of the most rude doctors I would have ever met. She gave such a frustrated look whenever you ask her any question and half of the time she did not bother to reply. My wife being first time pregnant had no clue on ultra sound details before this. So, she asked few questions to which doctor did not even bother to reply clearly and whenever she replied it was in an angry tone.
She said I have lots of more patients to take care of. When lastly we asked if everything is fine, she replied I have written the reports, go & check with your doctor for further details that also in a very rude tone.
You do not expect such rude behavior from a doctor and esp from a branded hospital like Manipal where one pays at par with any good private hospital. Today we went to Cradle and I must say that experience there is very very different from Manipal. They understand the concerns of a first time parent and answered each & every question so patiently.
Do not go to Manipal or Dr. Dharini unless you do not have any other option. This place is just not worth the money which they charge.
