I agree with all about the great script, acting, etc. This movie was well done. But it brings to highlight a distasteful cultural and ethical thinking, so well routed in our society. The sad part is that the movie also approves this distastefulness.
The movie cries, Bad girls are meant to be butchered!” And the distressing part is no one is taking offense to this statement.
While the hero (what a shame!) cannot be judged, he can judge and punish in one eventful evening of his life, and do it again the next. Shows how culturally backward we are, and our movies capitalize on that. The theme bad girls must die but bad men cannot even be judged (leave alone be punished) is as male chauvinistic as this society can get. (And I am a happily married, 34 year old man writing this review)
