To start with, ive been out of bhopal for the last 5 years, but I have so many memories attached to it..the list is long, wont get into that, but it includes food :-)
manohar dairy was one of the places ive been to often while being in bhopal (between 1994-99, visited several times after that) with my parents mostly and later with some friends. I dont know how its doing now, but fr me it is a very decent place to eat(not dirty, minus mawalis n no daru, where u can go n sit with ur parents).
my favourite used to be the chhole bhature there n with a glass of lassi or lemonade. though there is a variety of goodies u get there namely, well, all south indian stuff- the dosas, idli vada etc and the other regular stuff. but what sets it apart is the preparation n the cleanliness u can see.
but this snacks/proper meal is one thing..the dairy part is really worth trying. anything from the ras malai, gulab jamun, samosas..is worth trying(makes me drool).
a visit to manohar dairy will be quite satisfying.
it is nothing extra ordinary, but definitely one of the oldest and good restaurants ive been to in its class.
ps: I met mark tully there!!
