I had booked a cab from Bangalore to tour Tamil Nadu temples with mapcabs (CCN 3188) & initially the company gave me good service . On the last leg of my journey when I reached trichy hotel in afternoon driver parked the car in hotel garage, we retired to our room . In the evening when we were about to go to the temple I noticed that the milometer showed 200 kms extra , thanks to my habit of noting down the kms traveled . The driver first denied it flatly , when I called the company & they cross checked my journey using Google maps there was nowhere to hide. The company & driver finally confessed to cheating . Driver was trained to temper with odometer to increase the kms & the booty was shared by everyone ( As per the confession of driver , recorded on my cellphone). later company reversed the extra kms & apologized profusely .So beware folks & do not get swayed by smooth talks of sales executives
