This advertisement was launched a few months before I bought the car and it reflected my
aspirations to the fullest.
Value for money
The Car personifies this statement and add a new meaning to it. It must the be the cheapest four wheeler anywhere in the world and after so many companies have come and gone in the automobile segment Maruti 800 still sells the largest numbers in this segment. Combine it with lucrative discounts and finance schemes anyone with a monthly household income of about 15k plus can easily afford the car.
Performance
In the official description the fuel efficiency is shown to be 17 KMPL on highway, but I think for the first time an automobile manufacturer is being humble as I have got an average or 19-20 on the highway(400 km plus one side) driving at around 80-90 KMPH. The power and performance for a 800 cc engine car is great.
Reliability
It scores very high on reliability as even after driving for 26, 000 Kms. in about two years the car has not given me one anxious moment on the road, be it city or highway and if it is maintains properly (by authorised service stations and not neighborhood Hammer wielding mechanic) it performs like a dream car on the road.
The car has got it all and is the ideal vehicle for a small family which want to be transported from point A to B in a four wheeler without any frills.
