I bought the car in Sep 2007 and WOW!!! I simply liked it.
This is my first car and liked it.
The kmpl is good. Its 21/22 in city and 25/27 in highways. Although my Dad’s car is Alto LXi, I love driving my car as I am much comfortable, good control, easy to move in hard traffic, adjustable in all environments.
The mainenance is less, as told by others, when driven nicely and not tough. Take it easy even if roads are bad, the spring actions are superb. Slightly adjusted the shocks, when given for the second service and now the experience is great comaparatively.
I thank Maruti for maintaining and improving the car continuously, which suits the small family and within the small budget.
Although the dealer, Pratham Motors, Bellandur Road have cheated me for Rs. 15000 stating they give great accessories (which infact will not cost more than 5000/8000), I am very happy with the car I have.
Simple design, no fear about the maintenance and great boot space/leg space (even if I am six foot), I drive comfortably in this small car.
The only worry is about the brakes. They are not much effective as we see in other cars. Any complaint about the brakes to the dealers when given for service, is not taken care of. They say they cannot do much on this braking system.
Overall, I am happy with the one that I have.
