I got this vehicle delivered 4 days ago.....Initially, when I took it for a test drive , it felt ok, infact pretty good, but I missed to note this thing......the low torque of the vehicle, is really killing my driving comfort in the traffic, the car barely moves in the 2nd gear, it almost chokes out of air and comes to a stop, we had a maruti zen(1997 model), in this specific case, it was waay... better than a-star.......
It really kills you, you just can’t rely on it to pull past when you lower the gear and try to overtake......just check this before buying this, the car is ok in the 1st gear, in the 2nd, it’s havin some trouble breathing, I guess....when I contacted my dealer about this, he told give it 1000 kms, but our previous vehicle didn’t have such an issue.....INFOit has a good power steering, ac is superb, interior space is sought of ok, smooth gear shifts, i also didn’t like the throtle response........ I haven’t checked the fuel efficiency yet......brought from: indus motors, kalamassery, cochin.....reply to 2nd comment: I wasn’t comparing a-star with zen-1997, just the intital pick-up in 2nd gear, I felt, it was better for zen, might be due to the fact tha it had 4 cylinders, while a-star onlt has 3, lot of people miss this fact!!
