I bought Alto Lxi 10 days ago from Apra Automobiles, Gurgaon. I have been driving since 11 years. My 1st car was Fiat Hand Gears, Then old zen VX, then Zen Estilo VXI, then Indigo & now Alto Lxi.
Fiat was the car on which I learnt how to drive. Awsome car. Safety man you feel like bang a bus & still safe. Then drove Old Zen VX from 99 - 07. Awsome car, but lacks space & Ground clearenc. Also bit high on maintenance. Sold it & bought Zen Estilo. I was 1 of the 1st few to book this car on day of its launch(05/12/06). Then I shifted to GGN from Delhi & Bought Indigo. Biggest mistake. High on maintenance, too noisy, vibrating. Gr8 mileage on diesel(I got max 22 KMPL on Jaipur highway). Then sold my Indigo, decided to bring my Zen Estilo back from my dad & gifted him Alto Lxi Pearl Silver. phew ong history. So Alto Lxi. My experience of Alto for 250 Kms in 6 days.
*Pros:
Mileage: Brand new car giving 16+ KMPl(796 cc, 47 BHP) driving in local GGN conditions.(I used full tank system)
Maruti people: Mind it they are exceptionally good. They really give a feeling that you are the King. They treat you in best possible way & will help you in all possible documentation till the time you are happy also follow up later on. Lots of discount.
Comfort: Gas Absorb shockers works awsome on tough roads. Ground Clearence of 160 mm is an issue but acceptable.
AC: Awsome cooling the moment you switch it on. AC fan speed ssound is more than engine sound.
*CONS:
*1. Space: Not meant for tall(5’11") & broad(again me extra large). Its very difficult to go in & adjust.
- Pickup: 30% downfall in pick up with AC on.
Rest its a good family car with short height & less number. for entry level, its a good to go deal. Hats off to Maruti.
