*My Alto’s performance after 3 and a half years:
Took my Alto again for Vaishno Devi last week. This time with my family and since its summer, we used AC for the whole trip DELHI - VAISHNO DEVI - DELHI(1300 Km Up down).
Got the tank full from Delhi and when I reached Jammu, distant 600 km exact, the fuel tank accomodated another 30 litres petrol. GIVING out a cool average of 20 kmpl on AC.
The whole trip was fuelled by less than two tankfulls(approximately 65 litres petrol) as I still had some 5-6 litres left on reaching home.
*Average speed during trip: 80-90 km/hour
Mileage on AC: 20 Km/litre
number of occupants: 5 people*
I am myself Very much impresssed with it.economy. And believe me the everything of the car, including the AC works superb even after 3 years 5 months after purchase.

I am updating my review on the 3rd anniversary of my Alto. After three years, what I can say is that its really low on maintenance. What I liked about this car are the looks, the lean shape with lower center of gravity that gives it much stability. space is much better than 800 but still. after all its a small car.
The mileage is good - around 17 kmpl in the city(with ac). The mileage on the highway was around 19 kmpl with ac. The ac is superb, much better than other cars of the class.
I would say that this is a car worth its price. superb mileage. The only major attention needed is the battery that got dead in just 2.5 years of purchase. only 14, 000 Km so far.
For MILEAGE example, consider my following trip with four people onboard.
In one tank full, we started from Delhiand reached Jammu(Katra) covering a distance of 650 kms. Same in return, One full tank and back to Delhi 670 Kms again(This was without AC as it was December)

Mileage - 17 kmpl in city and 19 kmpl on the highway
Comfort - Good
Space - Good for 4
AC - Superb
Interiors - Could have been better
Engine - Silent but not than that of Wagon R.
Cons:
The acceleration suffers a bit with the ac. The car seems to have lost all its power as soon as the ac is switched on. But then, the fuel economy comes at this price:). So I am overall happy with this car.
Its a 100 Kmph max speed limit car. I don’t mean that it can’t go farther. Its made for speeds averaging 80-100 Kmph. Above 100, it starts vibrating.
