I woudl not write about pros and cons of ALTO LXI but would bring to your notice one major issue that I am facing with my ALTO LXI.
I bought this in Nov 2007. For first 3 months I did not drive much. After that when I started taking it onto major roads whenever it encounters a bump and if it is in 3rd or 4th gear it will automatically come to NEUTRAL.
I reported this to SAI services Pune(my vehicle dealer) and they worked on this 2 times but in vein. The car simply keeps on coming to neutral in 3rd/4th whenever meets a bump(bridge joints, potholes etc.) Now the dealer is saying that this problem was seen in an entire lot of WAGON-R a year ago and there was a problem with gear-lever assembly, but nobody ever has reported such a problem in ALTO.
However they have asured that they will order new assembly for my ALTO also.
Has any ALTO owner encountered such a problem before.If yes what was the corrective action required.
