I bought my Alto car a year ago. I had gone to Rana Motors at Bhikaji Kama Place. I had quotes from other two dealers, one from competent and another from a dealer in Cannaught Place. Rana’s was cheapest by around 5000 Rs. So I went to them. Delivery was not quite efficient, but quick enough. after making full payment ( I paid by cash, no finance), it took them around 2hrs to get my car completely ready. which I think is ok, considering it was Sunday and there were at least 20 purchase on that day.
Though I didnt take any accessory from them, apart from what was given free. I had to select 3 from 5. the 5 accessory offered were
floor mats
Steering Cover
Car perfume
Mud flaps
Car Cover
i took top 3.
My car has done 21, 000 km since then. apart from regular services, I never had to take them to service centre. Pick up is ok. Milage without AC is 17-18 km/l which I think is impressive, but with AC it is disappointingly 12-13 km/l. I have driven it to the max speed of 110km/hr and I felt it was little unstable there. till 100km/hr it is ok. I have taken it to Haridwar (230 Km), Agra (200km) and it didnt give any trouble (I live in Delhi).
Though the interior is compact, but better than M800 AC.
AC is not that effective above 40 C outside condition. and the glasses of rear widows doesnt slide down completly. Child lock in rear doors and 3 seat belts on rear seat ensure safety for the kids. In short one can go for it it it is your first car.
