I have bought Ignis last month and I have driven it about a 700 kilometres. Coming from Grande Punto I found Ignis to be very good in handling department. It still is not in level of Punto, but holds it own very well. Its a fun to drive car and actually feel like an SUV while driving. The car also feel very large while driving because of the raised seating position and mini SUV like setup.
The car is very smooth and I have the petrol engine its way to refined. Its beats the Punto(Petrol) in refinement. I actually once was not able to sense engine was on the noise of the engine is so less. The car is very light and acceleration is pretty good but engine is not high reving type. So you can expect good acceleration but dont expect to just go full throttle from start like in Punto or Polo. Overall car look good, mileage of petrol variant is 15 kmpl in city which is pretty good by all means. IDK! why people want 18 -19 kms of mileage from the car. Car is feature rich and safe.
Performance of the car is very good.
Would recommend this car. I bought the Zeta variant and I think its pretty good. Get the Zeta or Delta variant of the car without automatic transmission. AMT has a lot issues and is new. So please dont get AMT Ignis. Alpha variant of Ignis is very very costly and I would suggest to buy an i20 or baleno instead of getting Alpha of Ignis.
The car is costly but maintenance is very low 25000 INR for 5 years which was surprise for me. I also for MCP package for free form dealer and for me maintenance is only 10000- 12000 INR for 5 years.
The car has good space for 4 people and guys understand this is a 4 seater car not 5 seater. I am talking about 5 adults of 510- 60 feet height ore more and weight more than 80 kg. Cars boot is decent at 260 ltrs and is actually larger than Swift.
Car also looks good, although looks could be subjective.
