Beware! They are not the best Maruti Dealer

I had one of the worst experience with their sales team. The story goes like this.


I wanted to buy a Suzuki Celerio Diesel and dropped by their showroom for a test drive.


I was impressed with the car and went ahead with the booking with 2 months to final delivery.


Now comes the twist, both the Sales managers at the Banaswadi Showroom walked up to me, congratulated me on the booking once the paper work was done.


They came up with a proposal that they have a 2015 model with the same choice of color I, should I wish to buy, they will offer me a steep discount of Rs 65000/- since there is anyway only one left in the inventory.


Now who wants to refuse such an offer?


What they didn’t bother to tell me was it was on a first come first serve basis. I would have avoided the complete mess-up that was caused later.


I offered to make an immediate down payment, but they asked me to complete the loan process. I visited their showroom multiple times over the next two days to complete it and get the loan granted.


The only pending item left was to sign the agreement once the bank transfers the loan amount. All this was done in less than 2 days.


I was eagerly waiting for them to invite me to sign the agreement. No news from them. Later I called the sales agent only to know that the car has been sold out to someone who made full payment.


I was devastated. To add insult to injury they made false promises over the phone about discounts in the future edition.


I was confused and visited their showroom to know the truth. So they tried to stop me to from withdrawing the booking, while I must buy the 2016 model with a meager discount of Rs 5000 on accessories.


Now why would anyone in a sound mind leave their down payment with them losing bank interest for several days?


I refused and asked them to make a full refund and compensate for the mental agony caused. I completely lost trust with their sales team and had to ask them to send a mail to confirm that they will refund on time.


Also, they were very unwilling to save me through any other means.


They agreed, but just forgot to do the paperwork for the refund. Later they realized and sent the agent immediately to get the paperwork done.


What a lousy team?


Meanwhile with lost trust and mental agony I had to pass a week while I made multiple requests to make sure the refund is on the way.


They did settle eventually and the manager at Maruti Suzuki, Bangalore had called to apologize on their behalf.


Kalyani Motor’s customer care manager issued an apology, but it didn’t sound compelling nor did it talk about the compensation. I am still fighting the fight to ensure this does not happen to any other customer.


Now ladies and gentlemen, leaving it to you on whether to trust Kalyani motors, but documenting my bad experience with them.


Tread carefully if you are to buy from this dealer.
