This is what I write after I have used a Dzire Vxi for 7 months, read further down about the thoughts I had before when I booked it:
I have been driving the Vxi( Petrol Version) for about 7 months now . I get 12 kmpl with Ac and 13-14kmpl without AC, so it is a very fuel efficient car . The ride quality is excellent, the seating is nice, the space is also good but not something that would delight you . The music system is above average, it distorts on high volume but is decent enough otherwise. My mum enjoys to sit at the back seat and says it is extremely comfortable with the hand rest .5 adults can easily fit into the car and you can even have another couple stuffed inside .
The plastic used inside the car is not good at all, the plastic on the doors can be shaken easily alongwith the plastic that mounts the odometre, so it is really of a bad quality . A biker banged into the rear of the car breaking the bumper.The dealer told me that it will cost me 1800 bucks for a new bumper and 2500 to paint it, can you believe that? even I didn’t .But its true .
I have got 2 services done, and there has been no change in the performance of the vehicle, god knows why people say that the efficiency increases after getting it serviced. Even after having driven close to 12, 000 km, the mileage is the same . I also don’t like the pickup of the vehicle, its takes time to accelerate to a good speed . The breaks also is not good if you try to stop at a turn .
Also, the rear visibility is 0, I have banged it many times.The side mid-rear view is not very clear in case you are taking a U turn and looking for the traffic on the left and vice versa .From the front and the sides as well, you will not even get to know low rise things like pavements etc at all .
But the AC is very powerful and I love the rear & side looks of the car, it really stands out than the rest and looks like a nice royal car .The demisters works excellently well .
On the whole, a great car to have.Much better than a logan, swift, getz, i10, accent, esteem etc for sure .So go for it only or else you will repent, also the pearl white is the best colour .

I got a dzire Vxi booked.I am happy with everything but the music system quality & the leg room & interiors.The music system does not have any latest features like a USB or bluetooth, not even good speakers & the sound distorts at high volume.So really bad sound quality.The leg room is also very less and the boot is unnecessarily big.They could have given more of leg room & less of boot space.I was shocked to notice that even the SX4 looks so congested inside.Maruti really needs to do something about this.
The music system looks good, but the interiors could have been, much better.I believe the i10 has nice beige interiors which one doesn’t find even in the Dzire Zxi as only the seat covers are beige in color.
I like the car n I don’t want to buy a Lxi & get everythin fitted in it like the central lock, power windows, day/night mirror etc.Moreover, since the deck is integrated, it cannot be changed as well.
Don’t know why they can’t give a nice music system in a sedan with all the latest features & good sound quality.I am a musician and I am hating this fact like hell, because even after spending 5.4 Lakh, I am still not completely satisfied.
Also that I booked it on 30th March & the delivery is still unknown.They say not in this month.What the heck, if Maruti didn’t have inventory, why did they come up with a new model? I am sure the car is being sold at a premium.
I compared Logan, Tata Indigo CS etc and still find it worth to go for Dzire as one thing I can be sure of is the after sales service & the cost of spares & the resale value.The fuel efficiency should also be good as it has the same engine like the old swift.The exteriors also look good & is a comfortable car otherwise.Nice for a family of 4-5.
I would have been a very satisfied customer had Maruti addressed the above issues.
Please suggest as to what I can do about the music system?
