As seen in its home country, Japan, debut last December, the all-new Swift retains the design of its predecessors and shares its platform with the Baleno and the Ignis. And this engine could become the debutant petrol motor from Maruti Suzuki to get the SHVS mild-hybrid tech in India. Speaking of its Indian debut, the new Swift is expected to launch at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo early next year.
