Best Car in this segment

I bought sx4 last weekend only and writing this review after thoroughly testing my vehicle for one week. I had a budget of 7 lakhs when I decided to buy a car and choices available were Fiat Linea, Indigo Manza, Chevrolet Avea and Hyundai Verna. I starter with Linea and found it really good in terms of its exterior looks and almost about to book the car. But then one of my friend bought this car and I was really turned down by the quality of interiors used by Fiat and also the assembly of car. The point is you wont realise this during a test drive and this also come with a Fiat tag means poor service and low resale value. This is why dropped the idea.

After this I test drove Aveo and couldn’t find anything worth going for this car. Everything right from the engine specification, interiors and price tag is been moderate. I hardly found any differentiators in this vis-a-vis other cars.

Next option was SX4 and is just being relaunched. My personal opinion is when you are making a purchase decision, you shud buy something which is new in the market. I drove Automatic transmission first which 4 transmission and found it very noisy and hard. Interiors and specs are however same in both AT and MT. After this I tested MT zxi version and found it so smooth and cool. I drove it at a speed of 125 Kph and inside cabin it felt as if I am still driving at  50. Power and handling: this is what separates Sx4 from other competitors.

My last test was Hyundai verna. I was really impressed with the interiors. But everthing is been designed keeping in mind the professionals be it its interiors or exteriors. I wud say choice wud depend entirely on your personality attributes. Finally I decided to buy SX4. Reason - Stylishness, Powerful, Amazing braking (ABS). I bought the ZXi version which comes with ABS means better handling at high speeds.

Only con would be the breadth of this car and the rear view which is limited. So you would have to get the parking sensors and use your big side view mirrors while reversing. But you would get used to it after some time. Now that I have almost drove it for 500Km, I can say it was the right choice. Above all, maruti suzuki tag is attached so no need to worry about the dealership and service center
