My name is is Amit Hardiya. I am a resident of Indore. My family brought home the Maruti Suzuki WagonR 1.0 VXI on April 18th 2013 for Rs. 4.70 lakhs. It was a nice experience during the initial few days.
It happened only last weekend, when my car was already 950 kilometers old. We were on the Indore-Dewas bypass, the car was on 60KMPH, when suddenly both the driver seat side tyres of my car burst, as it reached a corner of the road, but even though that wasn’t sharp at all.
I was driving the car, when the burst happened. I instantly applied the brake and balanced the car and parked on one side of the road. The tyres were flat within seconds. I checked the road for any sharp material, that may have caused this accident, but there wasn’t any. Let me tell you, this tyre was from a well-known brand that is Apollo Tyres.
I was with my family and the time was past 11pm. Let me tell you the bypass area is not a safe zone at night. We were stuck there at that odd time. We looked for a puncture shop for temporary resolving the issue.Luckily we reached home without being harmed by the scenario of Bypass area in Indore. The next day, I went to Patel Motors(My Dealer), Indore to register a complain, I said to them the whole story and asked them to replace my tyre free of cost, considering my tyre ran for only 950 kilometers and it wasn’t supposed to burst so easily.
Later I submitted tyers at Apollo Center, they said that it’s not manufacturing defect . We cant help you.I was really disappointed with their excuse. They said, it’s not their fault and instead they started to blame my driving skill. Do the Maruti Suzuki tyres are supposed to burst at merely a thousand kilometers? This is a bad reception by Maruti Suzuki on a customer’s problem.
I suggest all of you to not buy a Maruti Suzuki car, because they do not provide any assistance to the customer, even if they are responsible for the whole accident.I seek your support and want the company to suffer for their irresponsibility.
Thanks.
