I was supposed to buy this car but when I got to know this car in details it I changed my mind, Swift has been a huge hit all over the world but it has lot of issues which an ordinary buyer neglects for some benefits like resale value and for the ease of pocket to maintain it
Suzuki swift is a replica of mini cooper, the floating roof, shoulder lines over all design is inspired from mini cooper this is not suzuki’s own design, and its been an eye candy all because of its design detailings, very few people can notice the door lines of car are not perfectly crafted which is the sign of imperfection.
Swift has a biggest draw back that is its build quality, it collapses destructively in crashes.Global NCAP gives zero star rating to it, its not able to save the passengers, but people neglect the safety aspect and only consider it doesn’t damage their pockets.
The plastic is used for dashboard seem also cheap after usage of few years we can notice numerous noises in the car the reason is cheap quality of material is used in the car even the interior is not much impressive than other cars in its class like I 20 and grande punto both cars have better interiors and build quality.
Suzuki suggests 5000 km interval for the service of the vehicle whereas grande punto has 15000 km interval the difference is suzuki use cheap engine oil which needs to be changed after every 5000 km.
DDIS engine is not an efficient engine it dies in hilly roads and requires gear shift, engine placement is 1248 cc, it only offers 74 bhp whereas grande punto offers 76 bhp with same placement of engine.
It seems but its not a good buy because human life is precious.
