Hey guys, this is the NEW Mast Kalandar opp Spencer’s on 80ft rd, Koramangala 1st block. I’m sure you didn’t know there was this one down the road!
I was quite surprised to see a branch of the same restaurant, but pleasantly so. Wow, major wow with the decor - looks more hip and nice view - I like to sit with my friend looking onto the street below from the glass walls.
I am a foodie to the core and I sure know a good place to eat when I see one. Like the rest of the chain, this branch’s food is also the same - finger-licking good. my friends adore the rajma-chawal, kadhi chawal, salads(sprouts and all, different everyday, very HEALTHY), and of course the mango lassi. When we go in a big group we order the kebab platter and chaat. .oooooh maaaan unmissable!
To this I must add, even if you’re not vegetarian, this restaurant will want you to become one. and this from a male colleague, so well!
I stick to my halka-phulka meal, it has phulkas, rice, veggies, dal, salad, papad. There are both paratha and rice combos as set meals. But the portions are too big, I can never finish it all off. I haven’t tried the desserts yet. maybe because I’m too full anyway:).
Guys, for someone like me who hates typical restaurant dishes all dyed in the same colour. Mast Kalandar is like home food - I know I can eat without worries about hygiene and health. I mean who else makes whole wheat parathas and rotis?
The price is affordable too - considering how much these faltoo restaurants charge for all their unhealthy garbage! I just wish there was one near my home so I could order home delivery instead of takeaway. Are the Mast Kalandar owners listening? Please open one for us techie foodies at Whitefield!
