I had been to Mast Kalandar multiple times. The first experience of Mast Kalandar at Bannerghata road (5 years back) was wonderful. However, my two experiences in recent past have been terrible. The experience at MK near NGV was not good. The food quality has gone done and the taste that was offered and promised initially is missing.
The worst experience was the most recent one. I had been to MK in Koramangla (one near Maharaja Hotel) last week with my family (3 adults and 3 kids). They do not provide mineral water in any of their restaurants, I dont know why management have such a policy. I ordered food, but was in a surprise after that. No one attended to us for 30 mins or so, when I finally lost my patience and complained to the person at the billing counter (he was the all in one, said no manager is available) and thats when he asked his people to check on what happened to the order.
I heard another customer complaining about same thing to one of the person. I ordered veg kebab platter, the order took long time to come. When it came, it was a complete disaster. The potatoes in it were half cooked, the sheekh kebab were sour to the core, paneer was literally burnt, when I complain about it they said we will change it. After 20 minutes they got the order, same plate was re-served, all they did was to remove the pieces that we tasted. It was a big shock to me and my family. I asked them why did they serve the same plate again, they had no answer and said will change the order. Pathetic customer service and moreover the attitude. They ruined our day, I asked them to cancel it and refund the amount. They had difficulty in doing it, but I kept on pushing them and lot of customers were watching, so finally they paid it back. The other food that we ordered was also not good at all, I think we ordered HP2, I wouldnt want to spend money on such awefull taste. Decided to never return to Mast Kalandar again. They have lost the taste and cuetomer service. Now all they want is to make money and are least bothered about customer service or taste. I saw a number on the bill for feedback, I did send a feedback to that numeber, like most of the organisation they also apologised and said will ook into it and will revert back to you, to never return back. I STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO VISIT MAST KALANDAR ESPECIALLY KORAMANGLA (NEAR NGV) AND THE ONE NEAR MAHARAJA HOTEL IN KORAMANGLA.
