I was waiting for Masterchef India after watching Masterchef Australia and what an amazing disappointment it has been. The show is filmi, too gimmicky, and looks completely staged. Akshay kumar is nowhere qualified to run such a show, it should have been someone like Sanjeev Kapoor. The two chefs with him are downright boring to be polite, just see Masterchef Australia and you will realise how wonderfully witty & entertaining Gary & George are(the chefs on Masterchef Australia). Cant really say much about the contestants, its not their fault that the show turned out to be so idiotic.
No one can enjoy Masterchef India, neither people interested in cooking as they will be so putoff by it nor people not interested in cooking but interested in reality shows as there’s nothing to entertain them. Would have been better if they had stuck to the time-tested formula of Masterchef UK and Australia and brought in competent hosts instead of making it Akshay Kumar’s filmi show.
