Last year in 2011 I was admitted to Mata Channan Devi hospital for treatment of jaundice for myself. Till then things were well as i was in the impression that the hospital is good. But this year in oct 2012 the whole picture is clear in front of me when i have taken my wife during pregnancy to the same above hospital and the hospital image have turned into completely negative. They just play with the patients and attendants emotions as they just look for the money by doing emotional blackmailing.
Firstly we started taking treatment during my wife`s pregnancy from the same hospital few months before my wife`s delivery. Everything was going well 12-15 days before the expected date. Suddenly dr. Started forcing normal delivery is not possible hence you should plan for surgery. When we questioned they said we can try normally but it would be risky both for the mother and the child and any mishappening can happen to anyone of them. They asked us to plan for the operation next day as normal delivery is not possible according to her body structure. We were emotionally attacked in such a way that they totaly made our brainwash as even when we were thinking to take a second opinion from another dr. We have not really prepared to consult to any other dr.
We asked to give us some time to think about that. Later we realised as per the dr. Words if we would wait for the normal delivery it would be more painful so under that impression we planned hospitalisation on 30th oct yet the delivery date was given as 9th nov. Firsly now we are feeling that the normal delivery may be possible but they turned a normal delivery case into surgery case just to earn more money out of it. We realised this just after my wife`s admission into the hospital when we found out that they are treating every delivery case in the similar way. Then my daugher was born on the same day with weight as 2.065, they shifted my daughter to the mother`s bed same day eve we were getting impression that we would be getting dischange according to our plan of 3 to 4 days. But the things started turning when my daughters sugar had fallen and dr. Started shifting her to the nursery. They dont even allow dad`s to meet child in the nursery. Only mother`s can go as a baby feeding mother. They unnecessarily started keeping her to the nursery. They shifted the baby with us for some time later but again reshifted her to the nursery. My wife got discharge on 2nd nov. But as baby was kept in the nursery due to less wight, sugar and tlc counts etc. They keep giving her glucose, phototherapy and even keeping the baby in nursary when phototherapy was not required. Meanwhile one of the antibiotic course was also started for 5-7days. Seems dr. Are unecessarily keeping the baby in nursery. They were aware that we are staying there and paying additional bed charges for her mother because after surgary that was not possible to go back to home and come again as we live on the 2nd floor. They keep stretching the case till 8th nov. Night. On the same night i was out of my control and i told to one of the dr. That my financial condition is not so good anymore so i would not be able to continue the treatment then only they planned a discharged her even though there plan was to continuing another antiboitic course for her for another a week.
One more thing: on the hospital walls they have big boards with a quotation written which is dont give tips but every staff: housekeeper, look for the money because of the baby birth and they even use words like dont complain and do whatever you can do as per your own wish and keep standing for the answer. Even we have seen the cases where if no one entertains them then how badly they people treated with them. My suggestion is that if anyone is planning hosopitalization in mata channal devi hospital you should keep away from this hospital as you people are not going to get treatment but just waste of money and time moreover may be a life. Doctors here just show attitude like they are not doctors yet they are god but behaviours like cruels. In short mata channan devi hospital is a biggest fraud and i would not be going to this hospital for any kind of hospitalization at all in future.
