I am a resident of aluva.But in the past 5 years Me and my husband have seen only 2 films from matha theatre even after being the nearest theatre.
The ambience of the theatre is too low.Even after being at the heart of aluva town, noone will prefer to watch a movie from matha.It looks like old theatres .In front of multiplexes like PVR and cinepolis etc., it stands nowhere if we take the ambience.The seating has not changed to fully cushioned adjustable seats.Its the same old seats.Some of the seats are damaged also.
People visiting there for second show seems completely mannerless sometimes, uses abusive languages, sometimes drunk also.
The ticket prices are moderate.Rs 120 for balcony ticket.In the canteen you will get good tea and coffee but dont expect more than that.
Picture and sound quality is also moderate.
For Rs 120 per ticket one will get better movie experience than matha theatre .
In this era of online booking, matha theater is also lacking this feature.We can’t book online tickets.
