I went to Matheran 2 months ago with my family. The place had a very cool and calm climate. I loved that. We went at the lower steps of the mountain by car and then by train.
The train was a mono train. We could see the beautiful scenary while the train was going on the top of the mountain. I had a great experience with horse riding. Hotels were well kept. But the prices of buying things was high which is usual at hill stations. Overall it was a great place . Rating - 9/10.
