Beware - High Charges, Deceitful Conduct

Paid Rs 314.90 for 3 minutes 12 seconds call from Singapore to India ( Invoice Number - ST1198370). Charges much higher than what verbally conveyed.


Wanted to me to make second  payment even when the amount had already been blocked on my credit card by them. Even sent me mail with a lie that block had been released.


Having guessed their modus operandi I still refused to pay, then they finally adjusted payment against blocked amount.


Better take a SIM in your country of landing. Easily available on production of passport and much cheaper. This particular call would have costed nearly one third of what Matrix charged.


Matrix - Do not ask your customer service to contact me. Let them post their respond here itself.

Dear Mr. Parmar,Thanks for your time on the call a while ago.We would like to summarize our conversation as below.We wish to inform you that the amount which is blocked at the time of availing the connection is unblocked after 21 days automatically from the day it is initiated and billed amount is separately debited from credit card. Hence, we would request you to have it verified with your bank as the security amount is already unblocked.Further, since the mode of payment for your Matrix account is credit card, we tried to charge the invoiced amount from your credit card, however were unable to succeed.Several attempts were made to charge the amount from your credit card and confirmation for the same via text was sent to you by your bank/Matrix stated the information as below:Dear User, we are unable to charge Bill No. ST1198370 of Rs1364.02 from your credit card. Pls call Matrix on 011-26800000 to make alternate arrangement.Later on 21st Mar. '13, our team was able to successfully transact the billed amount from your credit card for which the alert might have been sent to you by the respective credit card bank.The charges associated with the product (rental, call charges, service charge etc.) are clearly mentioned on the tariff sheet shared and sent to you on the confirmation email.We have initiated a request with our back end team to share the same email with us. Hence, we shall share the same with you by end of the day.ThanksWarm RegardsAmandeep Sokhi
