We visited mysore for two days & had put up in Maurya Palace. facing a lush green park, the hotel is just a few kms away from the mysore palace, as it promises. the rooms were all lit & all the basic amenities were available. it was clean, hygenic, with furniture & bathrooms done neatly.
We had done the booking online, so we didnt find any problem getting the rooms. we opted for a non-ac room which came upto rs. 967 per room including room service. we had gone in the month of june. only the hotel staff doesnt have good knowledge of english & you have to mostly talk with them in hand signals. for my young kid, they willingly cooked food. their restaurant in particular is fantastic, & as we tried different dishes, our taste bud got a treat everytime.
Though the service is a bit slow, the food & ambience in particular is awesome. the dishes were reasonable priced. the veg kourt beside the hotel is ideal for vegeterians & the food there is a delight. it was in partcular a very nice stay in the hotel & as we brought back reminiscent of mysore, the memories of Maurya palace is also vivid in my mind.
