A breakfast/lunch at Mavalli Tiffin Room(MTR) is a tradition. They practise the age old Indian custom of eating togther.People are admitted in the hall in batches and each batch starts the meal together.
MTR serves some mouth watering South Indian cuisine. They specalize is breakfast goodies like Idlis, Wadas, Sambhars etc. The most popular dish at MTR is their Kesari Baat and Masala Dosa. They use authentic South Indian masalas to prepare the meal and hence are able to achieve the status that they have.
On a weekend, the queue outside MTR is huge. On weekdays if you are lucky the queue of the breakfast will be shorter. Joggers and even people leaving for work come to MTR for a quick bite.
The price of the food is extremely minimal. MTR does not believe in looting the customers it is more concerened about serving each and every person at its door.
