When u live in the suburbs (ECR or Adyar) you miss out on OZONE and the rest of the spiffy healthclubs in the heart of the city. But with Maverick you feel like your almost there. The Maverick looks good and feels good.They have 2 spacious floors for Cardio workouts and the basement is the weights area. Friendly and knowledgeable personnel not counting the grouch at the reception. Most importantly there’s valet parking. At 2200 Rs per month for just the Gym its the least you can expect.
They have an aerobics and dance studio. They’ve just started ’ladies timings’ between 10 am 5 pm. The ambience is conducive to a workout till the jarring tamil music hits you. No problem with tamil music but the kind thats played here is in contrast to the aesthetic settings. The music played seems to be more for the personnel than for the clientele. Repeated requests will yield u techno or remixed rock songs.
Over the days u might realize that the same music plays over and over again but its a better alternative to the tamil music. So mumms the word. Maverick...feels like heaven till the cheesy music snaps u out of it...
