I’ve tried many makeup products, particularly lip and eye products. I don’t wear too much, but I’ve tried. Their slogan ’Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline’’ is quite catchy. The models they use, such as Josie Maran, are really pretty, but their advertisements aren’t usually accurate.
Like for example, Wetshine Diamonds Liquid. Josie Maran’s lips are drenched with shine. But, you gotta put maybe about half the bottle of lip gloss on your lips to make it that shiny. I agree, it is a good lip gloss, because it isn’t thick and oily. It has little sparkles in it, which help add shine to your lips. I’ve tried ’’Jewels N’ Berries’’, ’’Rhinestone Pink’’, and ’’Clear-Cut Diamond’’, all of which I was satisfied. I’ve tried so many lip glosses, so many it’s not even funny. From Bonnebell to Rimmel, Revlon to Loreal, and all have disappointed me.
The problem is that their lip glosses are actually castor oil, or some kind of oil. The oil spreads around your mouth, and your mouth area feels slimy. The gloss is also slimy. It also makes your lips look like they’re melting, which doesn’t appeal to me, and I don’t think appeals to many people. Maybelline’s Wetshine Diamonds Liquid isn’t slimy. It’s liquid is kind of solidy. It’s as though they’ve mushed up lipstick, which I think is a good idea. I don’t want to make my mouth and skin shiny. I just want my lips.
The idea for gloss is to just have a hint of shine, not make it look like you drenched your lips in ghee. When I put Rimmel Crystal Clear lip gloss on, my mother literally said ’’Tu Hont Ghee Vich Kyoun Pondieh?’’ It was funny because I looked at myself and I too thought I had rubbed Desi Ghee on my lips. Another problem with lip gloss that’s too gooey is the fact that naturally, people’s lips kind of stiffen. I guess it’s because we don’t want our colour to come off. Although it makes you pout, it’s not a very nice one. It looks like you aren’t free to move your lips around. It’s like kissing a person without moving your lips! So, in conclusion to lip products, Wetshine Diamonds Liquid is definately something in my shopping cart!
