If u are going to watch this film because of these, then you have to consider your decision.
It’s a remake of the Tollywood super hit ’Varsham’.
Ravi - His past telugu remakes hits at Tamil.
Produced by a good singer - S P B Charan.
Rajkumar - Assistant of Saran is the director of this film.
I don’t know how it was a super hit in Telugu. You can get the feel of watching JAYAM and GILLI simultaneously. First half of the film is ok but second half is slow. Rajkumar has missed to change all the negatives of the original version. That’s the main minus for this remark version.
Stroy:
Usual one. Triangular Love Story.... Hero Arjun(Jayam Ravi) and heroine Sailaja (Shriya) love each other. At first seeing, love is possible only in films. Deva (Rahul Dev) also loves her and wish to marry her. Sailaja’s father(Kalabhavan Mani) ready to marry off his daughter to the villian because of money. He creates some problems between Arjun and Sailaja and then paves a way for their love to break up. Later on Villian kidnaps Sailaja. After that, as usual, Arjun brings back Sailaja from the villian and clears off the misunderstanding with Sailaja. This is the story.....
Pros:
Ravi and Shriya love sequences in rain backdrop.
Shriya - very impressive with her expressions, but not upto the mark of Trisha.
Photography - Visuals for the songs ’Nee Varumbodhu’ and ’Mannile’ are impressive. And the location for the song ’Mannile’ is good. I don’t know where the temple is. We should appreciate Rajesh Yadhav for his work.
Songs - particularly first two songs ’Nee Varumbodhu’ and ’Mannile’
Dialogues between Kalabhavan Mani and his mother-in-law is the only comedy in this movie. Also Madhan Babu did a good comedy.
Cons:
Screenplay.
Vadivelu/Charlie comedy - All are boring.
Logic - Many scenes are there without logic.
Lack of Nativity.
Not properly used the good artistes like Charlie, Rajesh, Pyramid Natarajan and Ambika.
Expected sequence.
Long Climax fight.
Final Point :
For this debut director, this film is nowhere near the success graph. He should come up with his own stories and logical screenplays!!! I wish this Saran assistant all the best for his next project.
