Natural star Nani is the most successful hero at present with back back success at box office. With huge fan base again Nani is back with his natural acting performance in the movie Middle class abbayi. Middle class abbayi - MCA is directed by Venu sriram under the production of Dil Raju’s banner. The music for this movie is composed by music legend DSP: Devi Sri Prasad. The main actors in the lead role and crucial roles are Sai pallavi, Bhoomika, Rajeev kanakala etc. Let’s have a quick look on the performance and stuff present in the movie.
STORY:
As the film title itself narrates that this story is all about a middle class youngster. Nani is a middle class easy go lucky guy, living with his sister in law ( bhoomika) and brother ( Rajeev kanakala) . Nani is not at all comfortable with his sister in law’s attitude and demand for small works at the house. Bhoomika as a middle class housewife looks after the family on one hand and works in a government organisation as a government employee. Meanwhile, Nani falls in love with a cute girl Sai Pallavi. The new thing here is that Sai Pallavi proposes Nani as we don’t often watch these kind of scenes in Telugu films.
Basically Nani doesn’t like his sister in law’s dominance but he is having some respect towards her. But one fine day he realises the value and greatness of his sister in law and considers her as his own mother. As everything goes smoothly things change adversely. Nani’s sister in law lands in a problem due to a notorious criminal and Nani gets to know about the problem. How did Nani mange to solve the problem and what problems did he face is the rest of the story.
PLUS POINTS: Nani’s comedy with Sai Pallavi and his sister in law Bhoomika the most entertaining. Nani’s acting and his style impresses the audience a lot. Some of the songs were so good, especially avandoi nani garu song is cute and super, Sai pallavi’s dance performance in this song is super awesome. The love track between Sai Pallavi and Nani is one of the feel good things in the movie. Nani’s acting transformation from first half to second half elevates the heroism in the movie. The way locality of Warangal is shown is soo natural and beautiful and the entire credit for this should go to Cameraman and the photography.
NEGATIVE POINTS: Execept the comedy in the first half of the movie, there is nothing much interesting or entertaining. Except Bhoomika and Sai Pallavi apart from Nani, none of the other actors could impress with their performance. The story itself was old and the entire script is a routine masala. The screenplay should have been a little diverse and new. Devi Sri Prasad’s music was not pleasing, it missed the charm and magic of Devi sri. The second half of the movie completely becomes serious and there is no element of entertainment and comedy. Neither the action scenes nor the game between hero and villain is new. It is the old tom & jerry fight between hero and villain.
TECHNICAL VALUES: The production values were super as the producer is Dil raju. The locations, cinematography and art work along with costume designing were bit decent. Sai pallavi’s dressing was very much suitable for her. The photography should be appreciated as it was the only main thing which could bring out the naturality in the movie. Editing by Prawin Pudi was good, but he could have made the second half bit faster.
DIRECTION: Coming to the direction of Venu Sriram, he failed in carving out a good script and he couldn’t balance the comedy and action along with family emotion. He stuffed the first half with comedy and second half with serious track, rather than doing so he could have served all the above flavours balancedly. Overall as a director he did a below average job. Overall, the film doesn’t have anything new to entertain us. If you are a big fan of hero Nani then it would be a great entertainment for you. But if you have big expectations along with the urge of having a new story then you would be dissappointed. To be frank it was a one man show and the film is a little bit pleasing and entertaining and not a flop just because of Nani. Nani. Nani.! Its a routine story with Nani’s mark of natural acting.
