I thought of not buying Mederma because it was too expensive for me. I had a big scar on my elbow when I fell down from bicycle a few years before. Didnt want to spend too much for it and then I got a serious bike accident in 2013 and I had 10 stitches on my face alone. Decided to buy Mederma because this time the scar was on my face. Started applying it as soon as I got my stitches removed. Applied for almost a month and now no one will believe I had 8 stitches on my forehead. It is completely gone. 2 stitches are below my lips and its mark is slightly visible but not if I grow my beard(Which I do at times).
I also applied Mederma on my old bicycle scar(on my elbow). The scar lightened but it still can be noticed. I was too lazy to apply Mederma longer as I got rid of the scar on my face.
As from what I understood from my own experience and those from the other reviewers, Mederma works for certain skin types and it works wonders if your scars are recent and if your scars are old, youll have to use Mederma longer until the scars gets lighter and lighter. I am not sure if Mederma can completely vanish your very old scars. I will be more than happy if my very old, dark scars get very light and very less noticeable.
The smell of Mederma is just okay. You wouldnt like or dislike the smell.
It is true value for money if it works for your skin type but still, it is expensive. xD
Thank you.
