This review is for the recently opened medihope hospital and research center in New Thippasandra in Bangalore. I have had 2 visits to the hospital. 1st time we went there to get a leg sprain checked. The doctor came after waiting for more than an hour and then asked us to go get the X-Ray done. Only problem was that the hospital doctor himself did not know that the X-Ray machine was not functional. anyways...after some noise they returned the money back.
2nd incident happened recently.
I was advised to get Ultrasound done by one of the hospital doctor. Again, he had no clue If the radiologist was there to do this. So , we were asked to take appointment for the next day which we did. The appointment was for the evening 6:30 PM. I confirmed with them twice during the day If the appointment is confirmed and everytime they said yes.
When I reached there, I was promptly billed for the Ultrasound and asked to wait. After waiting for nearly an hour, they came and told me that doctor will not be coming as apparently I was the only patient . When I shouted and asked to see the MD or whosoever was managing this sham hospital I was told there was no one available.
On asking my money back , they said it’ll be sent to your credit card account(so it was now my headache to keep checking. When I insisted on seeing someone senior , I was introduced to a person who acted as if he was doing me a favour by talking to me.
I finally had enough of it and left.
My serious advice to anyone who need to go to a hospital and get any tests done, Medihope is not the place for you. This place is newly opened and has got some fancy looking rooms and other stuff but hasn’t really understood what medicare industry is all about.
Cost wise also, they charge more than the presumably the best hospital in Bangalore.
I enquired about room rent and they charge more than even what Manipal charges. Add to this the non-availability of doctors and facilities and you know where have you landed.
My sincere advice is to stay away for this place.
