Meena Ji lived for others and made so many lives in this industry, but nobody gave her what she wanted. She has been the No1 Heroine of mine from the day I saw her in Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai. The song Ajeeb dastaan hai yeh is still sung by people no doubt sung by Lata Di who sang most of her songs. Watch movies of her called Bheegi raat n see her enact Dil jo na keh saka or watch Chandan ka Palna, Poornima n the Garam Dharam u all know was made by her in Phool aur Patthar.
The men who she loved she gave her whole n soul only being a possessive personality she drowned herself in her addiction of alcohol. Kohinoor. Baiju Bawra. Main bhi ladki hoon. Mere Apne just to name a few our Bahu Begum is no more & neither is Aarti or Chitralekha. Zindagi aur maut, is what she left behind. She used to write Shayari which no one might have written Pakeezah made the name of the man who she loved n lost Kamal Amrohi should owe her a lot . At the end no one was beside her this great artist will live on in hearts of people like me who still watch her movies.
