Meesho App is an Indian-origin app social commerce platform founded by IIT Delhi graduates in 2015. It enables small businesses and individuals to start their online stores via social channels such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Meesho has now become the no.1 reselling platform in India with over 1crore+ resellers. Meesho is now currently making many people get money from work from home. Many people staying at home especially housewives have become WhatsApp entrepreneurs. This is really a good app for part-time work or business which also gives you a decent amount of money. So I also thought that let’s try such new things out. So as always I went to their website and did some research about how the thing works and how do we get profit as I had plenty of time. So what I found is reselling is the process by which the individual has purchased products to sell them to others usually done to book profits. But in Meesho you don’t have to do so much work you just need to create an entrepreneur account using your phone number. Once you are successfully logged in, start browsing through our catalogs to select products that you want to share with your friends. You can share catalogs and product images via Whatsapp, Instagram, and Facebook to your contacts using the one-click share option. You will soon start receiving the order request and inquiries from your customers. You can quote product prices with an added margin which will include your profit. Place the order after you receive payment from your customers. Your commission will be automatically deposited into your bank account. So I opened an entrepreneur account and started sharing items like clothes and stuff. But I didn’t get any customers. After a long time, my friend had liked the t-shirt which he wanted to buy. So I placed an order for a t-shirt and quoted a margin of 30rs as it was my first customer. So he was a close friend of mine and I had already told him about the app so he knew about how much commission I was going to make. The app is user-friendly as it is very easy to use for everyone to earn money. The order was placed successfully and tracking of the order was also precise.
As the delivery date got near I got very anxious. The thing was delivered but at very late timing which is not good for such an app. So the next day when I handed over the product to my friend we both unboxed it there itself and saw that the product’s quality was not very good as seen in photos. The photo had a bright color of the t-shirt which in real the color looked dull and ugly as if they had sent us a used t-shirt. I was even more frustrated and angry than my friend’s so-called first customer that I had given him such a bad product. So I immediately asked for a refund and also send a complaint on their email for sending us such a bad quality product. Soon after a few days, the guy came to take back the product and he inspected it and took it back. We can get all information to refund a product on Meesho’s official website. I received the refund the next day. I also returned my customer’s money. So my experience from using such reselling apps is when you sell something to someone it has to be done with great care cause when you sell something to someone then they are dependent on you about the quality of the product. You are responsible if anything is not as per their expectations. Meesho also has some conditions of refund which you may not know but can put you in trouble which is you cannot offer returns in bulk and request has to be raised within 7 days of delivery. So you are responsible for the customer’s loss and your loss. Those people who afford to take a risk should start such kinds of business. Hope this review helps you.
