Meizu M2

Meizu, the latest chinese vender to enter the indian phone market, wants to ensure it launches phones in all price segments.

Build

The unit with the dark grey back that looked quite classy. Meizu has bulid good looking device. The back also houses rear camera sensor and LED flash while the front side will remind you Apples iphone 5c and some older nokia devices at a glance.

Features

The Meizu m2 comes powered by a Mediatek MT6735

chipset clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAMm The 16GB onboard storage is expandable upto 128GB. So, roughly 10GB is is accessible to users. Here’s when those looking for more storage and dual sim ability will find themselves in a fix.

Software Meizu m2 runs a layer of Flyme 4.5 UI on android 5.1 lollipop. As aforesaid, it has a single button embeded on the front that also features touch ability. Besides the three soft touch bottons seen on Android are replaced with space to accomadate three easy access icons. So if you been using stock android, then theire is lot of learn.

Display

The meizu m2 fearures a 5inch display with 1289* 729 pixels of resolution, protected by dragon tail glass. The display is pretty descent and looks peppy when you opt for full brightness. However iam notsay it works smoothly outdoors under bright sunlight and also faces slight issues with viewing angles. Viewing videos was a good experinece, but dont expect a fluid script color experience.

Performance

The device allowed descent multitasking, however, it did start heating up afterca while, especially when casual mobiles gaming was combined with web sufering. I didnt try any heavy games. The device was pretty smooth otherwise it didnt lag or shutter while nevigating or browsing.

Camera In line with conpetition and ahead of some, the Meizu m2 features 13MP rear snapper and 5MP front facing camera. Both camera can record upto 1080p. When it comes to camera, Meizu has crafted well throught menu such as options like HDR, saving first in sd cards, and several modes. You can also add filters such as Grayness, Azure, Black and white and more.
