True love ??

Sayuri with each turn of the page made me feel I could see her blossom in her beauty. Almost at times I found myself wanting to see those grey eyes with too much water element.

The life of a Geisha seen from the other side not from the glamourous depictitions we often see. Ther reader is taken through the glamour and the seedy sides of the world of geisha.

The hero the anti hero the heroine the supporters in the background, the various characters all in full colour of their lives - and the wretched years of WWII on Sayuri. What emotive roller coaster taking the reader through the years.

The tipsy house where our story begins right till the end where love conquers all. Emotive and draws you into the world of a geisha although perhaps some what over romanticised, still a page tuner till the end.
