This morning I stumbled across MEOW 104.8 FM when I was bored of listening to Red FM where that ulta pulta Nitin still exists after the Prashant Tamang controversy, It seems he has come out’hero" after that controversy, he has become more popular, If somebody who didn’t know him, must be recognising him after that fiasco.When you talk too much, some of it is rubbish.Anyway.MEOW was a breezer and relief as You are starved of old film songs on new Fm channels, the only resort is Vividhbharti.MEOW played some old songs and some new, but all were good.
The other surprise was, they announced, its World’s(I am not sure if they have confirmed before announcing this because I guess there may be other similar radio stations in other countries) and India’s first Ladies radio station, just for women.Their anchor Seema’s voice and way of talking was refreshing, not the usual chatter and they played Birthday and anniversary messages in a different way.
Seema comes from 6-8 am, then from 8am -12 pm, they have JayShree and Urvashi in MEOW Zindagi, from 12pm-3pm, its Rama on MEOW matinee and 3pm-5pm is Mama Meow.
I am sure this channel is different and worth listening more and must be having some meaningful purpose, not the usual commercial interests.
