The last thing I expected was to see my Mercedes E class breakdown on the road in Pune during a hot afternoon. The irony was that it broke down near the local dealer. His mechanic declared that the water pump had failed. Imagine a 2 year old Merc to breakdown like this. What followed was a horrifying experience. The pump was to arrive after 3 days.
Me and my family were left high and dry in Pune after traveling from our hometown, Nashik. They did not provide a service vehicle and after much noise, the dealer relented and tried to get a pump from a nearby location. When I complained to the company, I was faced with a dead silence. Till now, even after 3 months, they have not responded. So much for owning a Mercedes. I will never buy or recommend anyone to buy one. I am planning to spread a word in my very wide network in Nashik, Pune and Mumbai -’NOT TO EVER BY A MERCEDES’ .
