Whenever we call Meru to book cabs, they ask us if we are going to pay by Credit card(CC) or by cash. However, I am feeling that this question is useless as most of the Meru car drivers have stopped accepting credit cards. They will not that they don’t accept but they say CC machine is not working. Here is my experience, I booked cab on 6th and the driver who dropped me to the airport told us after dropping that CC is not working and he won’t accept CC. Forced to pay by Cash. on 7Th too, went through the same pain.
I asked the driver of Cab what is this issue with CC. he said that when the customer uses Credit Card, the money goes directly to Meru cab account and these drivers are unhappy that they have to go and settle the money with Meru. So, the driver said that he and other drivers have found a novel way to disable the credit card machine attached to the cabs and force passenger to pay the cash.
So, Don’t be surprised if the Credit Card machine stops working suddenly for you.
