I booked the Meru cab in delhi on 10th Oct (ref no 875277) for my early flight with my family on 11 Oct to bangalore. cab was booked to arrive at 5.00 AM 11 Oct, and for which I received the SMS confirmation on 10th Oct. So when on 11th Oct, 4.40 AM I didn’t received the SMS about the driver details, I called up the call centre, and was informed that it will reach on 5.00 AM, but still no SMS nor any one called, so I called back again on 4.55 AM, and I was shocked to be told that cab is not available and they can send it by 5.30 AM only. Call centre guys didn’t even bother to understand the consequences fo the delay and also not even tried to resolve the issue.
I decided not to go up by Meru and got my alternative arrangement done, so at last I was able to catch my flight, with lot of mental frustration and agony.Later I raised the issue with the Meru feedback Dept, and they said its one off case and it will not happen in future. They only apologized verbally and not even replied to my emails send to them.Also there feedback dept told that will not be giving any compensation, as its beyond there scope.
Anyway I have registered a consumer case against Meru on https://ccccore.co.in/Default.aspx , for this default and asked for the compensation too. Case has not moved yet, but lets hope something is done, so that others don’t face the mental agony going forward.
So I request all if you have the same issue w/ Meru pls register a consumer case, and make Meru responsible for there wrong deed.
