Hi, I had booked a cab for 23rd Dec 2010 for 5.30 pm from my residence to the city railway station. I got a confirmation mail and SMS for the booking. As I did not receive the details half an hour prior to pick up I called up the call centre and was surprisingly informed that a cab cannot be provided.
I did not receive any information on the cancellation prior to this. I usually book a local cab at Rs 12 / km but this time I decided to book MERU (Rs 15/km) since it was holiday season and I wasnt sure about the reliability of the local cab service.
I had two elderly people and a child who were travelling with me so did not want to take chances. The experience taught me a lesson not to rely on MERU (ironically your tagline says Rely on Us). I am very sure that if this was an airport drop my booking would not have been cancelled.
This caused me tremendous inconvenience as I had to run around to find a cab at the last moment. Beware of them.
