Meru cabs are exhorbitantly expensive considering multiple options now available in the market. I have faced multiple issues while using Meru and its my last resort when I don’t have any other option
1) Quality of Chaffeurs - Why do I have to listen to stories that they are being charged high daily charges by Meru on every trip? The quality of the chaffeurs are really bad considering the price. From all the services I have used I feel Uber has high quality drivers.
2) Sir card not working in the past and now Insta-pay doesn’t work: Earlier when cards used to works drivers would be hesitant to accept cards because it seems they don’t get the cash in hand to pay for fuel and have to wait for the money. Now Meru launches Insta-pay to pay by the app and drivers are still hesitant despite the message playing before you start the ride.
3) Speed Limit? - Drivers are supposed to maintain a speed limit of 80km/hr and there is an alarm sound which drivers have found a way to work around. What is management doing to fix this?
4) Seat belts only if traffic police is visible
5) Quality of the vehicle - The price charged the quality of the cars can definitely be much better instead of smelly vehicles.
