Linkin Park’s back with Meteora (2003).I was waiting for this album eagerly since I came to know about this album was being produced in 2001.I would be giving song by song synopsis.
Dont Stay
The song starts with a hammer being smashed on a surface and then the glass breaks and the tune takes you into the world of Linkin Park.Such a feeling I had when I listened to this track.The lyrics are very deep like ’’Sometimes I need to remember just to breathe..Sometimes I need you to stay away from me’’.

The song starts with Acoustic tune and then the usual Rock thing starts . Chester’s voice tunes in ’’When this began’’ and then Mike Shinoda raps his best.The chorus is a good one too.I have heard the band wrote 20 chorus for this song and selected this one:

This song seems like ’’Crawling’’ and starts straight away with the chorus:
’’Its easier to run..replacing this pain with something numb’’
The guy wants to escape from troubles of life and he feels this is an easier way out.Rob’s playing on the song is extraordinary and drum pattern is demanding.

Its like a person has infested in you and now he is a part of you...the chorus says it all..This song has deep meaning.

The person is tired of the same routine he goes through and says ’’..so I am breaking this habit tonight’’
In this song, Mike shinoda crosses a digitally manipulated beat with strings and piano giving the listener a good sound.

OK this is my favourite song of the album and the way shinoda raps in this song is so good .Lyrics are wonderful:
’’Trying not to break but I am tired of this deceit everytime I try to make myself get back upon my feet’’...

This song was recorded at the back of the bus during the summer tour of the band!!....amazing .

Nobody’s Listening
Nobody’s Listening is another song from Meteora that stands out from the rest. With an extremely hip-hoppy feel, Nobody’s Listening is based around a sample of a Japanese flute and creates a mood that almost doesn’t fit with the rest of the album. The verses showcase emcee Mike Shinoda’s talent and he delivers his best performance on the album. In this seemingly misplaced song, Chester and Brad bring it back into the realm of the Linkin Park we know with a heavy palm muted riff and tastefully screamed lyrics in the chorus. Without a doubt this is one of the best tracks on the album.

Numb
This should be the next single of LP after ’’Somewhere I belong’’ .The song starts with such a good tune that it takes you into the ocean of emotions’’.Least said , well and good. The song is excellent talently worked.

For all those Linkin Park Fans and Rock Fans, Go and have this album.It may not influence you the first time but is certainly worth buying.You will feel it more and more the more you listen to it.
