I had given my car for repairs to Metro ford after I met with a small accident. After getting the car I saw that the mud flap for the car was missing although I was charged for it. After I complained he added the mud flap. Later on after coming back and reviewing the bill more closely I found that he had charged me for 2 wheel covers while he had replaced only one. I called them up and they assured that they would get back. But it is 3 days since I heard from them.
Although these things are small but the two things together contribute to around Rs 900/- which is around 2% of my total bill.
These are things which I could see externally and hence I was able to find out. It scares me to think what all overbilling they would have done for parts which are internal and I am not able to see.
So be really really careful and scan your bill for each and every item before taking the delivery for the car.
Also I am having some problems with the car air conditioning since I received the delivery of the car. I am sure they will bill me a good amount for that too.
I am sure if some good local mechanic opens an exclusive Ford repair center (like so many maruti centers) it would do great in bangalore.
