On an unlucky day, I entered Metro Shoes, Trivandrum searching for SKECHERS ON THE GO 600 - BRILLIANCY sandals. I was looking for navy blue color sandal, that was not available there but only sky blue color.
The store manager said hell check with other Metro branches and will arrange the same. I told him I need it in Navy color and my sandal size is US7/UK4. This was not available in the skecher show room in Pune. He checked and told me that it is available in some other place and will get it. He promised to get me that in one week and asked me to share my contact details so that they can reach me when it comes. They also asked me to pay 500/- as an advance. I agreed and they gave me a Metro coupon card worth 500/- for the amount I paid.
I called them on Friday to make sure that the product is on the way and I can get it by Sunday and they confirmed again. They promised to call me Saturday or Sunday.
I never heard from them, so I went to the shop on Sunday evening and the manager said that some staff is coming and hes bringing it and will deliver in person. The manager also promised that the staff member will reach by Monday morning they will call me the moment it arrives. I didnt get any call from them and on next Friday I called them asking for the status. The manager was not there and another staff attended the call. He was the same person who assisted me the first day. He told me that hes not aware of the status. I was a bit furious and asked him, why didnt get any call from the manager, whatever be the status. I have been waiting for that patiently for one week and not even a single day no one felt to update me whatever the status be!
The staff guy(will call him R) promised me to update me within an hour. He did call me back saying the manager informed him that person who were bringing the stuff forgot to pick the sandal I ordered. WOW! I patiently talked to him and told that I know this is true. What could be done next! He said they will check again and will give me status the next day by 12 noon. He calle me saying it is available in Haryana and will get me the same by thursday. I agreed and told him to call me back whatever the status be!
He called me on Wednesday saying the product is there. I was so happy and reached the store. It was the same sky blue sandal and the funny thing is that it was of size UK3! I was shocked and told the manager that I clearly mention the colour and size I want.
The manager was trying to put the blame on the staff guy saying he didnt write the colour and size peroperly. I told the manager that I told him exactly which colour I want and my shoe size, but he was not even listening to me and was cutting me saying, one minute Mam.
My phone got some issues and was not able to take or make any calls. So I called the store today(05-Jan-2018) and asked for the staff R. He said that the manager tried to call on my cell to convey that the sandal is not available. Since my phone is not working, he send me a message.
But my problem now is what will I do with the coupon. I have no interest to go to the shop and buy something since I am very upset with the way the manager behaved. He could have confirme if the product is available and then could have asked me to pay the advance.
Decided that no more shopping from METRO shoes!
